Wales National Rugby Team Men, commonly known as Wales, is the men’s national rugby union team representing Wales and is governed by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU); the team played its first international in 1881. A leading Northern Hemisphere side and regular contender in major tournaments, Wales competes annually in the Six Nations Championship and at the quadrennial Rugby World Cup, playing most home fixtures at Principality Stadium and competing against other national teams at major venues such as Twickenham and Aviva Stadium.
